The Ragdoll’s Personality
Ragdolls are like little Buddhas. They are quiet, usually only meowing to remind owners about mealtimes, loving, enjoying snuggling up to their owners, and placid, sitting in a calm and dignified way on beds, couches, and carpets.
Since they are not aggressive, having no interest in territorial fighting, pouncing on small birds, swiping owners who rub them in the wrong way, or other behavior typical of cats, they should not be let out of the house.
Like dogs, more than cats, they like to play, actively enjoying a variety of toys. They also like following the owner around the house and paying attention to what they are doing. And, like dogs, they think people are wonderful and their owners the best people in the world. They generally behave in a very devoted way, and are perfect companions for children.
They especially enjoy being rolled on their backs and having their belly rubbed.
